Screening for hearing disorders: the introduction of a high risk register

Describes a program for screening tests to be conducted among neonates to identify those with hearing disorder from those who do not have the disorder. The value of establishing a high-risk register is also given. The program also aims at detection of hearing loss among infants with the help of high risk criteria and to create an awareness for the ears and hearing among the general public and medical profession
